PrepVolt uses cookies and similar technologies as described below.

1. Session Cookies

We use session cookies to manage your authenticated session when you sign in. These are set by Clerk (our authentication provider) and are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They expire when you close your browser or sign out.

2. Preference Cookies

We store your theme preference (light/dark), target exam, and language preference (English/Telugu) in your browser's localStorage. These are not transmitted to our servers but remain on your device.

3. Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use PrepVolt. GA4 sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish users and sessions. Data is sent to Google's servers in anonymised form. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)

Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense may set cookies (such as IDE, DSID, and others) to serve personalised ads based on your interests. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings. PRO subscribers do not see AdSense ads.

5. Cookie Consent

We display a cookie consent banner on your first visit. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are only activated after you accept. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings in the site footer.
