Section-wise Strategy

Language Skills (28 min — fastest section)

Reading Comprehension: 2–3 passages, 4–5 questions each. Practice reading for main idea and inference. Vocabulary: synonyms, antonyms, analogies — build vocabulary from word lists. Grammar: error correction, sentence rearrangement. Target: 28–30 correct answers.

Quantitative Skills (52 min — most time)

Arithmetic (Percentages, Ratios, TSD, TW) forms the bulk. Data Interpretation: Tables, Bar Charts, Caselets. Algebra and Number Theory. Geometry: circles, triangles, coordinate geometry. No negative marking — never skip. Target: 28–32 correct answers.

Logical Reasoning (40 min)

Series (number and letter), Analogies, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Directions, Arrangements. More straightforward than CAT DILR. Target: 30+ correct answers.

90-Day Prep Plan

Days 1–30: Concept Building

  • Quant: Arithmetic topics (2 topics/week)
  • LR: One topic type daily (series, syllogism, arrangements)
  • Language: 1 RC passage + 20 vocab words daily

Days 31–60: Section-wise Mocks

  • Section-timed practice: 28/52/40 minutes per section
  • Target accuracy: 75%+ per section
  • Track and revise weak topics weekly

Days 61–90: Full Mocks + Retake Strategy

  • 2 full-length NMAT mocks per week
  • If score is below target, schedule retake (2nd attempt)
  • Use 3rd attempt only if 2nd falls short
  • Ideal schedule: Attempt 1 in October, Attempt 2 in November, Attempt 3 in December
